Kris Cirkuit



Kris Cirkuit is an artist, creative coder,  sound designer, and electronic musician based in Edinburgh.  Their work delves into intricate concepts of belonging, connection, and place – offering a unique and thought-provoking perspective..Who belongs? What belongs? Belonging implies a connection between people and things; what maps and meanings evolve from this?"  For Kris, the place is both internal and external, not only a physical but also a spiritual and emotional location. What are the internal and external landscapes they wish to explore and inhabit?  

They excel in providing innovative solutions for interactive work, web-based work, computational design, projection mapping, and art installation. They have extensive experience with creative code applications such as Max, p5.js, openFrameworks, and Processing.

Kris is also available for one-to-one support and workshops,
ensuring their clients feel supported and confident in their projects.

Kris's background in sonic art, sound design and sound engineering, combined with their experience in designing and implementing creative code solutions,  to provide a powerful combination of tools for their work.

Kris’s adaptability shines through in their work, which caters to a diverse range of environments. They create for live and remote audiences, galleries, the dancefloor, and even more unconventional sites, offering a unique blend of generative art, electronic music, audio-reactive visuals, projection mapping, and performance. 

Kris's work has been exhibited as part of The Wellcome Collection, Corna (South Korea), The Royal Acadamy of The Arts Scotland, Deptford Does Art, The Hackney Museum, and The Artbyte.

Kris Cirkuit's academic journey is a testament to their commitment to excellence, with an undergraduate degree in Sonic Art and an MA in Computational Arts (2021, Distinction) from Goldsmiths University of London.
